NEW FOSSILS OF SUIDAE (MAMMALIA) FROM DHOK PATHAN FORMATION OF SIWALIKS,PUNJAB, PAKISTAN

ABSTRACT
New suid remains are recovered from the Siwalik Hills ofnorthern Pakistan. The type locality Dhok Pathan,aged toLate Miocene,is located inChakwal district, Punjab, Pakistan. The new materialcomprises incisors, mandibular fragments, upper and lower premolars and lower molars. The specimens are assigned to three genera Tetraconodon, Hippopotamodon and Propotamochoerus. The fossils provideevidences about anatomical features of theSiwalik suids.
